66,58 meters: Waldtraut vom Mühlwald is the tallest tree in Germany


Waldtraut is 66,58 meters high - this is the final result of an official measurment by ten students of Vermesser-Klasse B1VT1 at Friedrich-Weinbrenner-Gewerbeschule (FWG).

Thus, Waldtraut is still the tallest tree in Germany. Measurement results from the years before show:

64,83 meters in 2012,

65,69 meters in 2013,

65,80 meters in 2014.

Meaning: Waldtraut keeps growing about 30 to 33 cm per year although she is already 107 years old
